There are times, when I look at ZZZ and think to myself.....these people aren't real otaku.
I know the more cynical of /u/s have already written off most of Nu-Hoyo as idiots and fake but the ZZZ devs feel even more new at this than the rest. It's like they just dont "get" it. They dont "get" the anime tropes they are working with. It's like an AI arranging things in a pattern as opposed to a human being who has fawned over certain anime tropes, discussed with fellow fans about them, and now has an opportunity to do it themselves.
Because if they "get" it, Astra and Evelyn wouldnt have turned out this way in the story and marketing. That's what i believe.
Also yeah, for whatever reason, Burnice and Pulchra are strnagely "safe" from all this rubbish, so far, for now, knock on wood.
