The issue is with the nu-anime treating its OCs like main characters of bigger importance than game characters. The Ash anime had OCs, but they were only around for like an episode or two, and they were gone.

Am I really supposed to give a damn about a badly designed characters like Coral or Dot or everyone else other than Liko and Roy?
