Crye precision (I think it was them) did something similar. They made a bullpup 12 gauge revolver called the six12. In my opinion an amalgamation of 3 inferior firearm types (I just don’t like shotguns), but when combined, they harmonize in a way that seems to ameliorate their least desireable attributes. It’s the only shotgun I’d buy (but they don’t make it).
