yeah, I actually feel japanese foods are like this (sorry weebs). Its basically like you can take korean food but replace chili paste with miso and its bacially what you end up with. Stews are fucking delicious tho so I'd have to fight you on stews. Even in the states stews are one of the most hearty meals one can have, especially with freshly baked breads.
