also, you might be thinking of non oled tvs, which obviously I would never buy a lcd based tv for gaymen, based on va or some shit, that would indeed be horrible, OLED however made TVs viable for large screen gaymen
which is why I would consider it
the problem comes into shrinking down sizes, the smaller you go the worse brightness and pq you get since they can't shrink it
also there is no sub 55" QDOLED Tv variant either
