It's definitely happening someday, be it a miniseries, hour-long special, or a whole longform sequel series. I reeeeally didn't want Gumball, Regular Show, or Phineas and Ferb to be brought back since I felt each one had a solid run and ended on a good note [give or take a finale movie], but look at us now. Endless revivals of cartoons just for easy nostalgiabucks.
Alex Hirsch was proud to keep GF over back then, but it's been almost 10 years now. The response to Book of Bill is definitely gonna aid in getting him to change his views on revisiting these characters.
