Most tools exist to cut corners anon.
The argument could be made for video games that writing and art is wholly irrelevant to the point of video games, an AI becomes no different from how films would reuse sets and stock footage before the actual revolution that was good looking green/blue screens and CG.
Most games only happen to have stories as a reality of expectations. Many would probably benefit from not needing to hire writers- for example, the recent Spider-Man games have been routinely lambasted for their narratives. Would it not be more ideal for them to simply utilize AI to create a Spider-Man narrative to slot alongside the raw gameplay?
