Literally the only kids who liked Robin more than Batman, or at all, grew up to be gay. Everyone loves Optimus and Megatron, not fucking Bumblebee and Wheelie. Kid characters or kid appeal characters are always a crapshoot people look back on as hating as a kid

If you're gonna do it, they have to be teen, and older teen, not like "goofy young teen in school" but "rebellious hothead teen"
