The chances of there ever being another good pokemon game are incredibly low, but if gamefreak did decide to actually put in effort and produce a good game, they'd have to add the full dex back, which means all of the awful broken shit too.
Every game from here on out that has a full dex is going to be riddled with these freaks, and the multiplayer will be ruled by them, whether it's in the official "anything goes" ruleset or the smogon ruleset which is just built to encourage you to use Great Tusk. These things are infinitely more oppressive to the metagame than even the worst of the UBs
