The humans shouldn't have even been in the Cell arc period. When Piccolo said "if you think you can't beat Freeza, fuck off" they should have just not come. It was very clear from Saiyan arc onwards this is an alien series now.
A "proper version" of the Cell Arc involves them not showing up after confirming they're useless against mecha freeza. Pic rel is the Android/Cell Arc cast in canon.
