>And a space marine is way bigger. Warriors are the equivalent of space marines. What's your argument?
My argument is that gaunts are perfectly capable of killing space marines. They do it in the lore, and they can do it in the tabletop as well. They are a legitimate threat to even space marines and the game does reflect it decently well. If anything it nerfs the gaunts to make the game more playable, especially by having so few termagants in it. Lore accurate gameplay would have just as many if not more termagants constantly shooting at you as there are hormagaunts trying to swarm you. Plus swarms of gargoyles flying around you taking shots at you from air.
Tyranids are no joke in the tabletop or lore. They can easily mess up marines even with their most basic troops. Being a superhuman soldier with power armor does not help if you are swarmed by hordes of tiger sized genetically engineered predatory warrior creatures designed to feel zero hesitation, fear or self preservation instincts.
