Finding a mentor is the hardest part because you need apprenticeship hours but you can look up your state board and reach out, also make sure you know the reqs on your state. I mentored someone once to certification and never want to do it again so that’s the biggest issue because you can’t scale this business without breaking the law, many have tried.
TLDR: if you want to make $150k a year and can measure a house and back up your math it’s pretty great work but the future is dicey everyone hates us because we have to be impartial
