first of all i dont believe in the self
second of all theres nothing contradictory about it
we can perceive things, but only insofar as a chain of contingent awarenesses in parallel. we can only directly access the terminal point of those awarenesses which is consciousness. saying that there exists a bridge between consciousness and the thing in itself is the ridiculous handwave a concept of a reality implies.
Either
1 you define reality as the things that we can perceive and get countless false positives and negatives and erase the subtlety of epistemology
2 you say that reality is the set of terminal points of the contingent chains of awareness, but these things a priori exist outside of consciousness and cannot be stated. if something cannot be expressed, then it cannot be true by the laws of logic.
therefore both paths are harmful and you should use terms that are more considerate of the context they exist between phenomena and existence, even if you believe in the inherent existence of material things.

how do you miss the point of the story so bad
misaki abuses satou for her own validation and has a mental breakdown where both of them attempt suicide. They end up being together just because they both hate being alone but there isn't any love or greater affection between the two. satou just gets a job because his parents stop feeding him and he gets starved to death misaki was useless
