I bought a band shirt and it was one giant square patch, even the black part that should just be blank shirt, so it's a big plastic sticker on my chest that gets all sweaty and gross if it's even a bit warm.
I bought it so I wouldn't wear out the original I bought at a concert, but it's pretty crap and I never wear it. YMMV.
For $5 or whatever, it's worth the risk, IMO.
