Oh I know it's bullshit. They were whining about it and that's the source of it.

They pitched a 3D Yoshi game but Nintendo didn't go for it. They made Croc and Nintendo made Mario 64.

Nintendo experimented with a Super FX 3D mario but never went anywhere with it, and then were planning the N64 and mario 64 proper. it had nothing to do with it.

Only that properly fully 3D games were quite rare, so I can see why they think that it was "stolen".

Croc is actually WAY more competently made than other games. If they had made it with Nintendo's supervision, I think it'd be a lot more fun to play.
