By connecting reason to emotion one is able to opt out of the input output that codes our brains to respond the way it normally does. Our perception of reality is not reality, only through maximizing agency towards reality - one engages with what's actually real and is capable of extracting the most out of it. Thus perception isn't a tool to understand reality, but merely a half-baked tool that somewhat helps navigating it. Transcending perception must be attained through going beyond dichotomy, joy / torment, light / obscure, reason / emotion, time / space, life / death.
