honestly i dont see why he cares what busted shit exists in a singleplayer game to begin with. right now everything is eventually capable of being pulled/sharded so i feel like buffs would be fine within reason though he's most likely trying to find a way to pay for it on our parts.

his main problem is he wants his fingers in literally every pie and so won't hire more people because then he can't control everything. it's not necessarily a mean spirited thing on his part but he clearly doesn't want to lose the indy feel while trying to expand at the same time which is pulling him in lots of directions.
