To me it's because Hometown feels like the epicenter of pure evil while like half the townspeople are putting up facades desperately trying to act normal, what with the bunkers, the road that's been blocked for days, all the deep forested areas, the fact that Dark Fountains/The Roaring seems to stem exclusively from here (and is implicitly not a problem anywhere else by proxy), even subliminal shit like largely sharing the same color palette as Seam
