What are some messed up or cruel things your job does? For example Walmart wagies have to do the wagie shuffle or get written up and fired.
My job does this thing where any time there's a federal holiday, they increase the length of your next shift to be longer to make up for the mandatory day off from the holiday. For example, I had July 4th off, but my schedule for July 5th was 8:30pm - 10am the next day.
They don't actually expect anyone to work the extra hours, rather they immediately offer you to use vacation time for the extra hours. So I had to use several hours of my vacation time to not be burdened with some absurdly long shift the day after every holiday.
Furthermore, if a holiday falls on a day you'd normally be working in office, they force you to go in office on your next work from home day to make up for it.
Note: there is 0 reason my job isn't fully remote. There's nothing about the job that can't be done from anywhere with internet connection. In 2020 it WAS fully remote. They moved it to only 1 wfh per week now. Out of sheer spite. The CEO has some fucked up quote about how he just hates the idea of workers being too comfortable or happy.
