Zépiqueno Redmond has bid farewell to Feyenoord. The striker, who won the European title with Oranje under 19 last week, is reportedly on his way to Aston Villa.

Several clubs have reportedly shown interest in the striker. Aston Villa sees Redmond as a good investment for the future.

‘As a little boy, I drove past De Kuip countless times,’ Redmond writes on Instagram. "Every time, I dreamed of one day being able to stand on the pitch there myself. That dream has come true: playing in the magical stadium De Kuip."

Redmond made his debut for Feyenoord last November. The striker played a total of nine games for the Rotterdammers. His appearances included Champions League matches against AC Milan and Internazionale.

‘The past year has flown by,’ Redmond continued. "I am incredibly grateful to the staff for the trust and opportunities I have been given to show myself at the highest level. I cherish those moments and experiences and will take them into my future career. Now a new chapter is starting."

Redmond became champion of Europe last Thursday with Oranje under 19. The Netherlands were too strong for Spain in the final, 1-0. Redmond played two games at the European Championship.
