Nah. Maoists started using it but it was coined by Carl Ogelsby, who was mixed up with the New Left, but the Maoists didn't like him because he wasn't a Marxist. He was actually one of those quixotic half-left/half-libertarian types obsessed with the JFK assassination. If he was alive today he'd be into a bunch of left-wing stuff but also Tucker Carlson and Jimmy Dore probably.

Eh. These guys like Traore are different from the guys in the 1960s. It's not the same factions. They share the anti-Western stuff and are aligned with Russia, but they're really right-wing in their politics and whole mentality (which is like everybody else though, it's just that everybody being extreme nationalists today doesn't preclude conflicts among them). In the 1960s, there was a combo of anti-colonial stuff in these countries with critique the traditional society of feudal chiefs and that was bound up together in the same thing. This stuff in the Sahel now is anti-Western (and anti-French in particular) but it's not at all self-critical, and the people who are like that have been thrown in jail or forced into exile. It's way more postmodern and strange and is tied up with weird black-chud meme ideologies like Afropessimism, Kemetism (we must Retvrn), and Russia fagging with also some selectively warped or twisted communist-looking aesthetics.
