there's some good things about the individual styles, but it suffers greatly from the parts not mixing well at all. the players have to either do all the heavy lifting in decaling their builds to look more put-together, or just ignore it entirely with shitter builds.
this isn't really a problem with AC6's artists, but more a problem with the legacy of 4th gen of going from 1 designer with in-house assistants to multiple designers that refuse to cooperate with eachother. it became a dysfunctional classroom shouting match.
the next step of evolution is to have the designers actually communicate with eachother regularly about how ACs should work in order for them to agree on some-but not all-design aspects. this is something that front mission had already done pretty successfully with their first game
