Hey you fucking idiot, go and try to create a Protonmail account on a VPN/Tor connection, they will block your account "for abuse" and then the only way to unblock it is to provide a recovery email or pay to "upgrade" your account. Now they either have your 1. IP 2. Recovery email or 3. Payment info.
How exactly is this user error if they purposely lock you out? Its an obvious honeypot.
