> This retarded idea that some people have that a guy who fucks adult women couldn't possibly want to fuck a kid
Good point.
We need to whittle this down on two sides:
> 1) sexual desire for youth is more common than is generally accepted
> 2) sexual desire for youth doesn't necessarily imply a desire for sexual violence, even if it does happen, even if there are dangerous sociopaths
and
> If you wanted to control a dangerous sociopath who would tell any lie to the American public just to butter their bread, getting a vid of them actually violently raping a kid would be a reliable method
meanwhile
> this probably almost never happens
Stallman defended Minsky, saying something like
> even if he had sex with that 17 year old girl, it was probably not forcible rape
The fact is, probably even if Epstein's blackmail is true, most of the encounters were at least superficially consensual. We can argue about what consent means under these conditions.
But it has little or nothing to do with your vision of insane sadistic rapists who hurt children out of a need for power.
Which is why I connected it to the larger mythology of pizzagate.
If we could be honest about how men have sex with minors, maybe this mythology, and the conditions for blackmail wouldn't exist. And we would get the bad guys, and harm reasonable people less.

Plato wrote the dialogs featuring Socrates AFTER the trial of Socrates, which put him on trial for corrupting youth since one of his students, Alcibiades was one of those seeking to overthrow the state. Plato presents Socrates as gently rebuffing the advances of Alcibiades, but not being offended by them. His speech at the Symposium belongs to the tradition of pederasty, elevating it. The Lysias depicts Socrates talking about friendship with young boys at the gymnasium about friendship. It would seem that Socrates was himself not a pederast, but he is not depicted as being against pederasty.
Plato's works are infused with the culture of pederasty, and seeks to elevate its forms. His final rejection of pederasty in the Laws comes across as much less inspired or meaningful statement about the phenomenon. What may appear to be the culmination of his thought may also be a grumbling old man who has lost the fires of eros.
At any rate, you seem to stupidly opposed to an exploration of pederasty that I think you're hardly better than those you oppose. Another form of brain death.
