It does help with saving, but it just starts to feel a bit strange because a lot of male bonding is limited to the sole male agent in the faction and Wise. Or the guy are antagonists or set up to die, like Pompey.

Thirens are a significant worldbuilding element and are seemingly quite populous, there should be more Thiren agents. The rest of that I don't really have a comment for.
