I did an Intensity 8 run with Jane+Yuzuha+Alice(Trial) for laughs, even mine are M0, and Alice really is kinda stupid with her damage output. Didn't even get the off-field Tactical Prism for Jane.
I actually ran my Corin as a backline for the entirety of her Intensity 8 run, because I didn't enable power scaling. But I'm sure she could do decently with the right setup. I'm also stll picking the "New" prisms to complete my collection, instead of actually taking the ones that benefit my party the most.

Same patch is pretty common. Like yuzuha into Alice or astra into Evelyn.
But at the same time, most supports powercreep earlier ones. So if you pull a dps their best support probably isn't out yet. And same with dps. New dps > old dps generally.
Its all time frame specific.
At the end of the day, roll for who you like.

Its probably smart to skip the next patch. While Seed probably has some application to wider teams, the entire patch will be about the aftershock playstyle (aka, whenever you see "FIRE" appear on screen and the offscreen character comes on screen to do an attack). I'm not too sure how far this playstyle will scale in the long run but a team dedicated to this style hasn't really performed as well historically.

Aftershock characters are good because its a bonus among other things they do but aftershock teams aren't in good position right now if that makes sense.

As a relatively new lvl 44 player, does spending energy on getting dennies to level up characters more worth than farming for discs with correct main stat? I'm getting a good amount of lvl up materials from side quests but it's still slow going
