Personally I dislike that top tier Sith like Palpatine or Nihilus still use lightsabers. If you're a Jedi and you get inducted to the Sith Order, like Dooku or Vader, then sure, you use the tools you're familiar. On the other hand if you're just some really powerful force sensitive who gets yoinked and groomed by a Sith Lord, I don't really think Lightsaber training would be on the docket. You would just be learning Space Sorcery and just be a Space Wizard, as opposed to a Samurai Space Wizard like a fallen Jedi.
