Shadow 05 was made on the cheap with spare parts from heroes, And actual decent game not made with scraps could do wonders. As for the writing, Shit like hard swearing and edgy moments can work, but you need the right writer for it. The kind that understands that that characters saying fuck. cunt and even the odd slur is all well and good when used somewhat sparingly in the right scenario, while also understanding swearing can be utterly dreadful when it's used every sentence possible.
