They're really cute together. Rarity is Twilight are my favorite relationship in Tamers even if they're just friends. Its even more satisfying cus Twilight initially despised Rarity but seeing them grow closer over time is adorable.

Well everyone in the outro is a couple.
So the only thing I could think of it foreshadowing Twilight and Rarity developing feelings for each other in some way.
I mean RariTwi was foreshadowed in the episode "Twilight Sparkle Shows Trixie The True Meaning Of Friendship Whether She Likes It Or Not" when Twilight was sad about losing her friends but she was thinking about Rarity the most and the scene flashed to Rarity & Twilight kissing.
So if I were to guess what happens since Rarity and Twi seem to stick together throughout this whole movie.
I think things get desperate and tense and both Rarity and Twilight get scared and in the heat of the moment they kiss each other or something setting up future potential drama with Trixie and Applejack.
Rarity and Twi have been getting closer and closer as the series has progressed so I can see this potentially happening.
