>a unique animation for their special attacks
>two more being hurt and attacking animations for when they're inflicted with Dot Status and change their model to "2d sprite" versions (which is what Substitute should have done)

Pokemon has no excuse for not having at least this much. They don't even have the numbers excuse now that they do the limit Dex availability thing.
