Yeah, same shit with Machu and Nyaan's friendship, the Pomeranians, or Doo (pitybait or just one and done enemy). There are a few things that it sets up extremely well in record time, like Nyaan and Kycilia's relationship (one of the best in the show up until Nyaan shot her, but that's more the fault of her relationship with Machu), Char and Chalia (up until the final episode's weirdness), and Shiiko.
