Has anyone noticed the theme of apples being associated with suicide? In one of Noelle's blogs, she makes a big deal of Susie eating an apple core being dangerous because the seeds contain arsenic (which incorrectly and she presumably meant amygdalin). Alphys, who was suicidal in Undertale and goes through with it in a few of the endings, has an apple on her desk. And Kris, when he's being tortured in the Weird Route, desperately tries to eat the core of the apple Ralsei gives him during the tea party with Gerson.
