Again, you're starting from an incorrect assumption and running with it, cyclic rates (and cyclic reliability in anything more than semiauto) has more complex timing where rearward movement IS taken into account. I've tried explaining to you why you're wrong but you seem insistent on forcing me to understand why you are running with an incorrect assumption.

Also most of these materials have elastic deformation in minute degrees. If you're imagining these parts are totally rigid as they cycle I encourage you to look at TacomaHQ's simulations of gas rifles cycling, showing just how much pressure and how unevenly distributed is flowing through these systems, reverberating THROUGH and across these material you would need a very sensitive motion amplification camera to see it with a naked eye.
