FPBP. Piracy is more of a hobby than anything. People just horde terabytes of media because they can. Steam even realized this long ago, that a large portion of their sales come from people who essentially collect games on sale, and then never play them.

I can't tell you how much shitty forgettable music I downloaded 25 years ago and burned into binders of CD-Rs. Not to mention movies, shows, porn, etc. I eventually moved on to filling up old hard drives with crap each time I upgraded my system.

I finally threw 99% of it away 10 years ago.
