The Seraph Vault, Pyramidion, Dead Forest, and Cradle were planned for mars, made it to development for Vex Void, the cut and given to Vicarious Visions to be retooled into Io. It's using a lot of Mars as a basis, but the terrain and textures were remade from scratch. The Mars version is still in Destiny 1's game files.
