I had a lot of things I wrote out but the post kept ballooning and quickly lost an actual point. I'll just say I don't envy the position of the writers, FF14 has done a lot of stuff already and there's probably some concern that while a story idea might be good, it could be too close to something they've done before. Yet that's why they get paid the big bucks to write stories and I don't, so they should be able to figure something out.
