It is typical neolib mindset to conflate a people with their present values.
Values are constantly changing. In 1000 years time, Israel may be a theocracy run on the principles of the Torah,. and perhaps Iran may be a secular, materialist economic zone. In which case the neolib would switch his support to Iran, and be calling for Israel's destruction.
The left, at least, are consistent.
