Not my link, you can thank another (very cool) anon for that. I strongly suggest watching episode one AND two, and then stopping if it's not your thing. The 40 minute video is a Christmas special, so.... don't watch that first?
As for your short, it is lovely. Animation like that would often be produced by artists who wanted to get away from soviet politics, and try making art for art's sake. The music is indeed nice, even if sometimes not fitting what's happening. They really tried doing something new and surprising with those early synthesizers. Also the owl was a dumbass for "saving for later".
