if you have mid to hifi, if you have the money, id say its worth. only other pair of headphones id wanna buy is the stax l700 from my research. the hd800 are comfortably airy and spacious, and almost ear piercingly clear, you just have to eq the 6k peak down a bit and bump up the bass. but, it does take a while to get used too. you might feel dissapointed after a week or 2 weeks of using them, then your brain adjusts and its very pleasurable. these headphones make me hungry slut for FLAC wherever i can get it. its difficult to describe what these headphones do. if i could describe with some kind of analogy its like getting a perfect punch on a boxing bag or something. every punch is a perfect punch. other headphones are like you missing some punches, scuffed punches, low impact etc... but this is all for your ears hahaha. like its just so satisfying hearing crystal clear sound
