Hyprland already includes a donation pop-up, and now they're introducing subscriptions with a vague promise of a 'premium desktop experience.' I just don't get it, why is this is acceptable, especially when it mirrors the same monetization tactics used by large corporations that people fucking hate. At what point does this shit become unacceptable? Is it when the developers focus only on the paypig version, and stop updating the free one? If they put the source code behind a paywall I'm moving to something else.
