They seem to have lost whatever magic they used to have when making characters. Old characters could have a couple lines and a couple minutes screen time then be remembered fondly for decades. New characters can go all out with costumes, take up way too much screen time, yet still be unmemorable or get the opposite reaction by being downright despised. None of the crew in Prometheus or Covenant were remembered like the ones in Alien/Aliens
