>fictional universes
Places like Star Wars could be considered hypersigils and an egregore, but I wouldn't stake my next existence on a fictional world that could be forgotten by next century. But you belong to Earth, you just gotta like the way it sucks, because it's not going to be much different elsewhere. You're going to have powerful entities making self-serving decisions, decisions that benefit them more than you, or even harm you.
>This world kinda sucks ass.
Then improve your situation. You're not responsible for others unless you're entrusted with their livelihoods. You don't have to be a savior that fixes the world. You're probably in the freest moment of your life. It only gets harder as time progresses and you get older. You gotta learn with what's given to you. Nobody is going to grant you a rewarding afterlife beyond by just begging for it. There are other people striving to achieve that goal consciously, and even more unconsciously. Yeah, people who don't practice the occult get favored by spirits all the time. They aren't just going to ignore a valuable asset because they don't flatter their ego. You probably have some creative experience that needs to be honed if you are attracted to fictional worlds on a spiritual level beyond commercial fetishism, and one of the major lessons is how to deal with automated machines encroaching on the craft.

A household spirit will always want to keep the house healthy. They don't care if your home is a marvelous palace or a hovel; the purpose of the spirit is to make you feel safe and at home. If it starts suggesting major expenses, big renovations, and extravagant parties when you don't even host a party a year, then you can assume that 'household spirit' is an impostor trying to live off your work. A household spirit is more likely to be a nagging mom/pop that tells you to clean up the place, but it will never try to 'own' the house. It's a duty for them, not a privilege.
