You go to an orphanage and other planets to discover her tragic backstory, her brother is a one dimensional character who is defending her, they're both afraid of the big evil man from the other dimension that they're also from, you solve the problem for her, I don't remember their ending involving them dying, being marooned, being eaten, or having a slideshow of being used as test subjects for their crimes, which is a red flag given how the series deals with villains... maybe I'm remembering wrongly?
I remember the arena being the worst in the series if it wasn't for Rift Apart... god I hate having to walk s l o w l y through the kind of bar that looks like what happens when a girl redesigns her boyfriend's apartment before being reminded the game engine wasn't made for ratchet and clank gameplay
