well hitting on women has been characterized as disrespectful as part of the all-encompassing symbolic murder of male identity that's been taking place for the past few decades so the only people who still do it are people who don't mind seeming disrespectful, which are usually not good people... it's a whole social labeling and/or optics thing... the reason your friends get approached is probably because they dress like stacies and you dress like a waifu so guys feel like they need to be more careful around you... but i guarantee you those guys who glance at you are secretly killing themselves over how they want to approach you... when it comes to male romantic expression it's all relative to the social viability of the act, it's easier to approach average women who seem more nonchalant and won't judge you for it, but if there's some dolled up princess waifu standing there it's kind of like, alright, if i talk to HER i'd probably get arrested...
