How is it a weird premise?
They are playing football, it shouldn't matter how well they do in one specific position in a specific team, but how well they would do anywhere, how much would they contribute to any one team's success on average?
To find this out you just simply make the entire team 11 clones of the same player and have them go against each other. Hopefully we'll unlock this technology in the future so the pessi fans can be silenced once and for all.
