Unless you're easily amused or just want something unique to toy around with I don't think Quest standalone games alone are good enough to be worth $300 in the long run. There are some decent ones but most are trash and you don't have as many inferior multiplats to cope with like you would for a handheld console. If you have a PCVR capable PC it becomes easier to justify because the two libraries combined have more games worth trying but there's a cost attached to PCVR use too. On top of whatever you pay for a better headstrap it's $15 for compressed wired PCVR or >$100 for a 6e router for wireless PCVR.
