There was a man referred to as Christ or The Christ by people that was killed by order of Pilate. That much is undeniable. Tacitus didn't care enough about Christians and their culture to do a deep dive and reported things as was given to him. So he never mentions "Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth" and seems to misunderstand the "Christ" was not his name, but his title-- not much different than how people today who only know "Jesus Christ" and some don't know "Yeshua" and even the more ignorant thinking that Christ is a last name.
