Toywise yes but animation model wise the Commandos take far more inspiration from the toy model while the Combaticons in the G1 cartoon are more like the rest of Floro Dery's animation models with the details smoothed out/flattened. Just compare Rollbar to Swindle here for example, who's probably the most egregious example. I know Swindle's the only one we haven't really seen yet but depending on whether they do a fake chest for him with the jeep's windscreen or not will probably spell out whether Ruination will be a straight repaint or a slight retool.
