My PhD is in empirical social science. I'm working at the overlap of two comparatively new fields of research. The topic I'm studying is so specific that I might make myself doxxable if I said too much. Let's just say I'm looking at a certain ideological movement (that you have probably heard about), asking what their worldview is exactly, what they belive about themselves, what enemies they imagine themselves to have etc. There is a historical element to my work where I try to trace the movement back in time, but most of it is focused on very contemporary matters, like what they say on social media. My dissertation itself is actually finished and I turned it in a while ago, but the Disputation keeps getting delayed by the university. As for what I’ll do after I have no idea.
