You gotta post the actual time frame you drew your pics anon. Either way my advice would be to not focus on rendering and focus on the actual drawing aspect. Finish drawing your forms, what I get from looking at these two is you quickly slap on color to a rushed sketch but arent focusing on the actual form of the subject. Im gonna assume right pic is the newest one cause the rendering is better, but the same issue of it being this sort of awkward bust of a character shows you arent focusing on the actual drawing underneath. Try doing something more like pic related. Not the character itself but do simple linearts that focus on the form itself and forget rendering(but if you must cause I know color gets more (You)'s do just flat colors) cause thats where you need the improvement.
